Fall/Winter Must-Have 2007

The trends for Fall/Winter are spectacular. Simple luminous colors share the scene with the occasional flash of metallic. Skin is smooth, radiant, glowing. Fall back into time with movie-star red lips, liquid-gel eyeliner, full brows and major lashes. This season's eye shadows have a gorgeous mix of shimmers and neutrals. BROWS: If your brows are on the sparse side, fill them in with a brow pencil, then apply brow powder over the pencil with short, firm strokes. Next, apply a brow set to keep the hair in place. Full brows define the eyes and make them pop.

EYES: Do your eyes like a pro. The perfect smoky eye is achieved by layering shadow on top of each other, starting with a highlight color all over the entire eyelid. Next, brush a darker shade 3/4 of the way up, starting at the eyelashes. Then another darker coordinating shade up to the crease. The final and darkest shade goes HALFWAY up to the crease. If you really want to be dramatic, add black eye shadow as an accent in the outer half of the lower eyelid.

STRONG EYELASHES: Balance your eyes with major lashes. The easiest way to apply false eyelashes is to cut the strip in half and glue the outer half only. Easy and very va va vroom.

CRIMSON LIPS: Lips are full and lush, sparkling like precious gems...a noticeable return to serious glamour. This season a bold lip is the way to update your look. RED LIPS RULE. When using a lip liner, find a shade that matches the real color of your lips. With your mouth closed, draw around the edges to define them and correct the shape of your lips. Next, color in your lips with the lip liner before applying lipstick. As the lipstick fades, it will blend in more evenly with the line. I have several fabulous new shades of red lipstick that will compliment every skin tone.

GLOSS: If red lipstick doesn't appeal to you, add a red gloss instead. A subtle update. Pout optional.
